10 people confirmed dead after fire outbreak incident at top Brazilian team

Flamengo's youth team training center has suffered tragic fire incident in which 10 people are now feared dead in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The fire outbreak was said to have started in the early hours of the morning. February 8, in an accommodation block at the facility of the club.

According to the report by UK Sun, one building at the training center of the youth team has already been destroyed completely by flames.

Apart from the 10 people reported to have lost their lives in the fire disaster, there are many persons who sustained serious injuries and are being treated in the hospital.

As at the time this report came out, the identities of the people staying at the building that got burnt has not been known, but local media claimed it is used by younger players of the club.

The Flamengo first team train at two other facilities, and the club are currently preparing for a clash with Fluminese on Saturday night, February 9.

Flamengo senior team are regarded as the most popular club in in Brazil and they play all their home games at the famous Maracana stadium.
