Chelsea on loan star at Fenerbahce Victor Moses has named Frenchman Zinedine Zidane as his football idol.

The 28-year-old recently joined the Turkish topflight side on a long term loan deal from the Blues having failed to break into Maurizio Sarri's team in the first half of the season.

Moses said the confidence of the 1998 World Cup winning star remains one of the qualities that attracted him to the former midfielder.

When asked who his football idol was, he told Fenerbahce TV that: '' Zidane. He was a great player. His movements in the field were more relaxed and he was confident in playing with the ball ."

The former Liverpool and West Ham United forward reveals that ex-Super Eagles star Emmanuel Emenike and two others convinced him to join Fenerbahce in the January.

He further stated that: ''To be clear, Super Lig is a big league. I watched videos about the Super League.

Everyone is very passionate. They love football in this country.

"Everybody is talking about football players. I actually talked to a few players before coming here. It was very good experience.

I even talked to two Nigerian players, like Emmanuel Emenike. They talked positively about the club. The history of the club is excellent and I'm happy to be here .''

Moses has been registered by Fenerbahce for the knockout rounds of the Europa League and is in line to face Zenit Saint Petersburg next Tuesday.

He won the Premier League and FA Cup titles during Antonio Conte's two season reign at the Stamford Bridge.
