Tension as Liverpool star joins top Premier League club on permanent move

Lazar Markovic has completed a permanent transfer to Fulham from Liverpool.

According to a statement from Liverpool, the 24-year-old Markovic, who arrived Anfield from Benfica in July 2014 netted three times in 34 appearances for Reds.

Markovic, who also had loan spells at Fenerbahce, Sporting CP, Hull City and Anderlecht.

The Serbia international spent much of his contract at Liverpool out on loan, after spells at Fenerbahce, Sporting CP, Hull and Anderlecht.

Premier League campaigners Fulham admitted they had "received very good recommendations from Aleksandar Mitrovic" before sealing the move for Markovic.

Interestingly, Markovic's switch was confirmed almost 90 minutes after the window closed, and his 6-month permanent deal will run out at the end of the season.
