Maurizio Sarri gets 2 conditions for him to keep his job at Chelsea

Maurizio Sarri has been warned by Chelsea chiefs to finish the Premier League club among the top four clubs at the end of the season or face being kicked out at Stamford Bridge.

This comes after the Blues hierarchy allowed the signing of Argentine football star Gonzalo Higuain which now puts pressure on Maurizio Sarri to deliver.

And the former Napoli coach has been urged by owner Roman Abramovich to make sure the Blues qualify for next season's Champions League by finishing among the top four and also win titles for the investment.

According to Dailymail UK, Chelsea board has told Sarri how important finishing among the top four means for him in keeping his job.

The decision is said to have been reached after Chelsea sealed Gonzalo Higuain's loan move to the London outfit from Juventus.

Maurizio Sarri and his wards now have the chance of winning the Carabao Cup, but will have to overcome Tottenham Hotspurs during Thursday night's semi-final clash of the competition.

He further faces a daunting task of sealing a Champions League spot at the end of the campaigning owing to Arsenal's and Manchester United's push for a top-four slot.

Chelsea currently sit fourth on the log with 47 points just three more than the Gunners and United who sit fifth and sixth respectively.
