Pogba set to equal Cristiano Ronaldo's record at Man United this weekend

France international Paul Pogba is now on the verge of equaling the record set by Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo at Premier League club Manchester United.

Since the departure of Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford, the 2018 World Cup winner has been impressive for the Red Devils under interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

So far this season in the Premier League, Paul Pogba has played 19 games with seven goals and also seven assists for Manchester United.

Manchester United will face Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, January 19, in their next Premier League game, and Pogba will get his name in the record books if he scores.

The Frenchman could become only the second Manchester United player to score at least twice in three consecutive Premier League home matches after Cristiano Ronaldo.

Before Ronaldo left Manchester United in 2009, he made 196 Premier League appearances, 84 goals and 34 assists.

Manchester United are currently occupying sixth position on the Premier League standings with 41 points after 22 games played this term.
