Nigerian-born footballer arrested, charged to court after allegedly beating woman outside London club

Nigerian-born footballer Andrew Akingbaje has been arrested and charged to court after woman beaten outside London club.

According to Mirror report, the 23-year-old Akingbaje, who resides at Brixton was arrested after he allegedly assaulted a woman outside a London club on New Year's Day.

The report further revealed the young footballer has been charged to court with assault occasioning actual bodily harm during the attack in Clapham.

Akingbaje was also docked for assaulting two other women during the same incident.

A video of the alleged violence has been repeatedly shared on social media platforms.

And in the clip a male in a blue T-shirt was seen repeatedly punching a woman in the head.

However, when the case was mentioned at Camberwell Magistrates' Court, in London, Akingbaje, who was decked in tracksuit pleaded not guilty to all charges
Akingbaje was later granted a conditional bail until January 31, when hearing in the case will commence, although his claims of playing for Tottenham is still under scrutiny.

"You have pleaded not guilty to this matter, the bench have declined jurisdiction.

"You are on conditional bail and must live at the address you gave us with an 8pm to 6am curfew ," Magistrate David Armitage was quoted as saying in court.
