Chelsea News: Christian Pulisic's move to Stamford Bridge 'confirmed' by former United States international

Chelsea have reportedly won the race to sign United States wonderkid Christian Pulisic, and his move to Stamford Bridge appears to have been confirmed on social media.

The Sun claim a £45million fee has been agreed between Chelsea and Pulisic's current club Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of the 20-year-old, who will move to London in the summer.

The Blues have beaten off rival interest to agree a deal for Pulisic, with Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United all known to have been tracking him for a long time.

While there has been no word from either club over Pulisic's deal, the youngster's transfer has been allegedly confirmed on Instagram.

Former United States international Eddie Johnson - who played in England for Fulham, Cardiff and Preston - congratulated his compatriot on joining Chelsea, despite the lack of official statement concerning his future.

Johnson's message read: "So stoked for you lil' bro, great move.

"Can't wait to watch you alongside Eden Hazard."

Chelsea are the only club to have made a formal offer for Pulisic, and they WILL sign him should no other team come in for the 20-year-old, according to German football expert Raphael Honigstein.

"My understanding is that Chelsea are the only team that have made a firm offer at the moment," Honigstein said.

"Dortmund are looking to see if there are other offers coming in as you would, but it is kind of agreed that the player will move in the summer definitely because he still has a year to run on his contract.

"Unless someone matches Chelsea's offer or exceeds it, he'll go there.

"There was some interest from Manchester United, I understand, but they've gone a little bit quiet now because they've got other stuff to deal with. They don't know if whoever the next guy is will want to pay that amount of money on Christian Pulisic."
