Germany World Cup winner set to storm Ghana for the very first time

Ghanaian-born Germany World Cup star, Jerome Boateng, will be storming Ghana for the very first time.

In an Instagram post the Bayern Munich defence ace expressed his excitement ahead of his trip to his fatherland

He wrote: "Special trip ahead... can't wait to visit Ghana for the very first time ."

Jerome born to a German mother and a Ghanaian father in Berlin, the 29-year-old won the Fifa World Cup with Die Mannschaft in 2014 which was held in Brazil.

Jerome in an earlier interview revealed that he will be visiting Ghana and lo and behold he has stick to his words.

"I have been to Africa but I didn't go to Ghana," Boateng told DW.

Although yet to visit Ghana, Jerome, holds the country dearly in his heart.

"The tattoo started when I was 16-year-old," Jerome said.

"I was with my two older brothers and they said 'today we are all going to do the same tattoo but don't tell your mother'.

"So we all went and had our bodies tattooed.

"It was the continent of Africa with Ghana inside ."

Jerome is the younger brother of Kevin Prince Boateng who has played 15 times for the Black Stars, scoring two goals in the process.
