Mourinho warns Klopp ahead of Liverpool's clash with Man United

Manchester United coach, Jose Mourinho has issued out warning to Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp ahead of both teams' clash in the Premier League fixture on Sunday evening at Anfield.

Mourinho has warned Klopp that real success can only be achieved when a club win trophies not matches.

The Portuguese gaffer has won both the Carabao Cup and Europa League trophy with United since taking over in 2016.

"I think trophies matter," Mourinho was quoted by EPSN as saying ahead of Liverpool's clash.

"It matters, especially when you have the potential to fight for trophies and especially when you clearly say the objective is to win the trophy.

"I think sometimes to just say it is not very intelligent but when you have the potential, you have nothing to hide, you know from day one your potential and your desire.

"To say we want to win, everyone can say that but another thing is to say the potential in a way you have but I think Jurgen said already they want to win the Premier League, that is their objective."

Klopp has not won any trophy with Liverpool since taking over in 2015 from Bundesliga side, Borussia Dortmund.

The 51-year-old has lost the Caraboa Cup and the Europa League finals as well as the Champions League.

Klopp's men are currently on top of the English topflight league table with 42 points from 16 games, while Mourinho's side are sixth place with 26 points from the same number of games.
