De Gea speaks on Man United wining title, qualifying for Champions League

Manchester United goalkeeper, David de Gea has admitted that it's impossible for Jose Mourinho's side to win this season's Premier League title.

He also said that United's aim this term was to qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League.

United have not been on top form this term. They are eight points behind fourth place Arsenal on the Premier League table.

"He's the coach. We all have to be united. The players, coaching staff and the coach. We're all pulling in the same direction and moving forward together," De Gea was quoted by Metro UK as saying.

"There might be a lot of criticism of the coach, but the ones that go out on the pitch are the players, the ones that score the goals are the players and we all have to think about what we can do to improve.

"It's been a bad season so far for us to be honest. We're in a poor league position. We're Manchester United and we should be challenging for the title.

"We're far behind and it'll be impossible for us to win it, our aim is to qualify for the Champions League."
