Breaking: Cameroon lose 2019 African Cup of Nations hosting rights

Confederation of African Football have stripped Cameroon off the hosting rights of the 2019 African Cup of Nations billed for next summer.

The executive of the football governing body met in an extra-ordinary meeting on Friday, November 30 in Accra to arrive at this decision.

They stated the slow pace of construction and renovation of six stadiums - venues for the matches as the reason behind the outcome of the meeting.

According to the information released on their official Twitter handle 'CAF_Online', no country has been named as the next destination for the tourney.

However, they are expected to reveal which of the countries that will stage the championship in June 2019.

 "Today, the @CAF_Online Executive Committee met in Accra, Ghana and has decided that @FecafootOfficie could not host the 2019 Total Africa Cup of Nations - Further information will follow soon."
