Premier League giants Manchester City made a world record offer for Barcelona star Lionel Messi before he committed his long term future to the club.
It has not been the first time the Argentine has been wooed by the Etihad outfit but in November 2017, Messi signed a new deal with Barca making him the highest paid player of all time.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Messi received a massive contract offer from City owner Sheikh Mansour for an incredible €755million.

Messi who currently earns €40million per annum at Nou Camp was offered a massive €50million yearly income, plus a sign-on fee worth the same amount, which also includes his father, Jorge.

However, the 31-year-old rejected the mouth-watering proposal to reunite with former manager Pep Guardiola as he penned a new deal for the next five years.
