Arsenal beat Watford in tough Premier League tie as Manchester City return to the top after win over Brighton

Arsenal fans on Saturday, September 29, had to wait till the last ten minutes of their game against Watford before the Gunners scored the two goals that gave them the three points at the Emirates.

The visitors would have themselves to blame for losing this game as they found it very hard to control the pressure by the Gunners in the last ten minutes.
Watford defender Craig Cathcart wanted to clear the danger inside his own box in the 81st minute, but he instead scored an own goal.

Alexandre Lacazette then provided the assist that helped Mesut Ozil to score the winning goal for Arsenal in the 83rd minute.

Arsenal are now occupying fifth position on the Premier League standings with 15 points after seven games played this season.
Elsewhere, Manchester City defeated Brighton 2-0 at the Etihad stadium to go to first position pending the outcome of the match between Chelsea and Liverpool.
Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero scored the two goals that condemned Leon Balogun and his teammates to a defeat at the Etihad stadium.
