Joy for Valverde as Barcelona star signs new 5-year deal with £445m buyout clause

Spanish ace Sergio Busquets has signed a new five-year deal at La Liga giants Barcelona.
According to the club's official website, the Spain's La Roja midfielder has put pen to paper that will see him stay at the Nou Camp until the summer of 2023.
In addition, Busquets' new release clause at Barcelona has been increased from £178 million to £445 million, as La Liga defending champions want to keep off potential suitors.

The 30-year-old Spaniard is now an important squad member at Barcelona after a decade at the club since his first-team debut in 2008.

So far, Busquets has made 490 appearances in all competitions for Barcelona, netting 11 times from his defensive midfield role.
At the last count, Busquets has claimed 28 trophies at Nou Camp, including seven La Liga titles, six Copa del Rey crowns, and three UEFA Champions League silverware.

The Spain international also won 109-cap for Spain, helping La Roja to 2010 World Cup in South Africa, as well as Euro 2012.
