  The 1998/99 season was the most successful season in the history of Man United. After finishing the previous season without winning any titles, the Alex Ferguson Man United team won a treble of trophies (the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League) as they became the first side in English football to achieve such a feat.

However, the historical feet of Man United is a topic for another day as this article is aimed at highlighting the Arsenal team of 1999, which had the club's all time top goal scorer Thierry Henry.

He joined the Gunners on August 3, 1999, from Juventus for an estimated fee of £11 million.

Henry went on to score his first Arsenal goal on September 18 1999 and that was his first of 228 goals he eventually scored for the club.
