Michy Batshuayi impressed in Germany last season

Batshuayi joined Chelsea from Marseille for a fee of £33million in 2016, but has struggled to make a major impact at Stamford Bridge.

He has scored just seven goals in 32 Premier League appearances and was loaned to Borussia Dortmund in January.

The 24-year-old made an excellent early impression with Dortmund, netting seven times in ten appearances, before an ankle injury cut short this season.

He returned to Chelsea training last week after playing for Belgium at the World Cup but was told by manager Maurizio Sarri he could move on this summer, with Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud ahead of him in the pecking order.

Dortmund were understood to be keen to re-sign Batshuayi, but he has now agreed to head to Spain.

A Valencia statement read: "Valencia CF have reached this Friday an agreement with Chelsea FC for the transfer of Michy Batshuayi until the end of this season."
