Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has rejected an offer from Real Madrid.
The Italian looks like he is on borrowed time at Stamford Bridge, with the Blues already searching for his replacement.
Conte has been offered a way out of Chelsea by Real Madrid, who called him on Thursday about taking over there.
But, according to Sky Sport Italia, the 48-year-old rejected the approach from the European champions.
Conte is said to have reservations about taking over a squad full of stars, who he believes would not agree to his level of work ethic.
The Italian also intends to honour his contract at Chelsea - and will not leave unless he is sacked.
Waiting for the Blues to fire him is also the more lucrative option for Conte, with his compensation package believed to be worth up to £9million.
