Mohamed Salah celebrates beating Harry Kane to Premier League Golden Boot

Mohamed Salah insisted he was proud to win the Premier League Golden Boot after pipping Harry Kane to the title.

The Egyptian's smartly taken 26th minute opener set Liverpool on their way to a convincing 4-0 win over Brighton.

The victory confirmed Jurgen Klopp's team a place in next season's Champions League, regardless of the outcome of the final against Real Madrid in a fortnight's time.

Kane, meanwhile, scored twice in Tottenham's dramatic 5-4 win over Leicester at Wembley, but was unable to close the gap any further and ultimately finished two goals short of his rival.
