Euro 2016: Portugal edge out Poland on penalties to qualify for semi-final

Portugal are through to the last four of the European Championship, after defeating Poland 5-3 on penalties on Thursday night.
Robert Lewandowski scored his first goal of the Euros within the first two minutes of the match, to give his team the lead.

12 minutes before the break, Renato Sanches got on the end of a fine move to level for Portugal.


The intensity in the match dropped from that time on and there were no further goals.

Kuba Błaszczykowski missed his kick, before Ricardo Quaresma fired home to lead his country into the semi-finals.
