President Buhari has been in Lagos for a 2-day visit to the state, and he today, met with British born model, actress and singer, Naomi Campbell.


He also today, took a tour of the ongoing Eko Atlantic City construction project.

During the President Buhari 's tour of the Eko Atlantic City project in Lagos, he was pictured alongside with Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos-State, National Leader of All Progress Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Naomi Campbell.

Eko Atlantic is planned to be situated over an artificial 10 square kilometre plot of land off of Victoria Island. The idea behind this project was to establish a city that will become the new economic capital of Africa.


The Eko Atlantic City Project is an ambitious planned city being constructed on reclaimed land from the Atlantic Ocean. It is projected to accommodate at least 250,000 residents and a daily flow of 150,000 commuters when completed.

President Buhari who was received at the Murtala Mohammed Airport by the Lagos state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode and Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, commissioned a world-class bus terminal in Lagos yesterday.


The bus terminal which is located behind the premises of the railway corporation opposite the Murtala Muhammed International Airport will connect 22 routes and over 60, 000 people are expected to transit through the facility on a daily basis.


According to reports, there are 13 similar bus terminals being constructed across the state.


The newly acquired buses by the Lagos state government will serve the terminals. It was also gathered that the state has taken possession of over 5,000 of the new buses. And there are reports that more of the buses will be acquired in the course of the year.


The Ikeja Bus terminal is sitting on 10,000 square metres land space is equipped with Intelligent Transport System (ITS), Fully Air-conditioned Terminal, Food Court, Shops, Toilets, ATM Gallery, Free Wi-Fi, Electronically Controlled shades, among others.
