The Minster of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, on Tuesday, clarified the reasons power situation in Nigeria is not as good as Niger and the Benin Republic - countries Nigeria sell electricity to.
In his presentation at the Presidency Quarterly Business Forum, chaired by Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, the minister said Nigeria "sells the power in exchange for a guarantee that they won't dam the rivers that sustain Kanji Dam."
The forum was attended by members of President Muhammadu Buhari's Economic Management Team (EMT) led by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
