The court cleared Ikpeazu of forgery charges, saying his tax documents were not forged as alleged, adding that he remains the Governor of the State.

In another development, Abia State High Court in Osisioma has granted a motion filed by the Governor for extension of an order restraining the Chief Judge of Abia State, the President Abia State Customary Court of Appeal and any other judicial officer from swearing in Mr. Uche Ogah, as the governor of the state.
