COVID-19: Trump reveals details of discussion with Chinese President

The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump has called his Chinese counterpart, Xi Ji Ping to help as the US leads in Coronavirus casualties.

The US overtook China and Italy as the world's worst-hit country by the COVID-19 disease on Thursday.

As at Thursday March 25, 2020, 13, 685 new cases were confirmed in the U.S puting the country at the top of the table with 81,896 cases.

Trump shared the details of his meeting with Xi on Twitter, saying, "Just finished a very good conversation with President Xi of China. Discussed in great detail the Coronavirus that is ravaging large parts of our planet.

"China has been through much & has developed a strong understanding of the virus. We are working closely together. Much respect!"

China where the virus started spreading late last year has 81,285 cases and Italy, the worst hit country in Europe has 80, 589 cases.

Trump had on many occasions described and insisted that COVID-19 is a Chinese virus because it originated from the Asian country.

He also blamed China for not managing the virus, which has now become a pandemic.
