I Have Trashed Trained Lawyers In Courts For 5 Years - Fake Lawyer

A 54-year old house agent, Mr. Isaac Anifowoshe has set five years criminal record by defeating trained lawyers at the various courts despite the fact he was not a legal practitioner in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the father of five was among the criminal suspects arrested and paraded by the Lagos Commissioner of Police, CP Edgal Imohimi at the State Command, Ikeja.

According to the police, Ondo State-born Anifowoshe opened an office at 74 Ladipo Street by Palm Avenue Mushin, was known as I.Anifowoshe (Barristers and Solicitors) as a law firm and used the place as his operational office before his arrest.

The police recovered many exhibits ranging from litigation documents, quit notices and other criminal documents which he used to operate with.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped that Anifowoshe popularly known as the D-Law ran into trouble after he defeated one trained lawyer over a civil matter at the court and the lawyer instigated the police to investigate if Anifowoshe was actually a lawyer. It was gathered that he was first summoned and asked to present his documents as a lawyer but he did not produce any and he was detained.

During further interrogations, he confessed that he was not a trained lawyer but an estate agent who had been going to courts and learnt legal procedures in the process. He revealed that he lived at Alagomeji in Ebute Metta area of Lagos but opened an office at Mushin and had been there for several years practicing legally before he was arrested.

An embattled Anifowoshe confessed that he had defeated many lawyers in courts especially on matters that concerned landlords and tenants and some of the lawyers were not happy about their defeat. He said that he thought he will not be caught, but now that the police had discovered he said he will never impersonate nor commit any crime if he survived this problem. He was among the criminals elements paraded by the police including car snatchers, cultists, armed robbers among others.

CP Edgal while parading the suspects said that the progress made was through the efforts of the police officers in collaboration with the public who provided vital information to the police. He thanked the public and urged them to continue to provide information and assured that the police will continue to do their best to reduce crimes in the State.

On the suspects, he said that they will be charged to court and prosecuted after the conclusion of investigations by the police.
