2019 Elections: PDP Allegedly Settles for Atiku & Fayose as Presidential Candidate & VP Respectively

Popular online media newspaper, SaharaReporters has exclusively revealed via its Twitter page that former Vice president, Atiku Abubakar and Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, have allegedly been selected to fly the flag of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as its presidential candidates in 2019.

Atiku who is a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) served as vice president on the platform of the opposition party from 1999 to 2007 and has not hidden his intention to become the president of the country.

This development is coming at a time former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, appealed to Atiku to return to his former party, adding that the opposition party, APC, where Abubakar belonged to, is dying and the party is in disunity.

Recall that TORI News also reported on Wednesday that a group under the aegis of Atiku National Youth Organization (ANYO) called on the Atiku Abubakar to accept the olive branch extended to him by the leadership of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to return to the party in the spirit of reconciliation.
