Church Of England Forced To Ban MANKINIS And Football Shirts In The Pulpit

Church of England officials are set to ban members of the clergy from donning football shirts and mankinis in a bid to prevent priests from wearing revealing clothes.

Current religious laws state priests should wear traditional robes, a rule which has often been ignored by clergy members hoping to reach out to a younger, more informal audience.

The new ruling would add a clause to ancient ecclesiastic law, making sure that: "the form of dress so adopted must be seemly and must not be such as to be indicative of a departure from the doctrines now contained in the formularies of the Church of England".

The departure would rule out items of clothing including sports tops, anything bearing strong political or atheistic sentiments and overly revealing items of clothing.
