A sad story has been told of a Nigerian man who went to buy suya at night, got arrested and was wrongly imprisoned for 5 years.
A twitter user with the username @tobijulo91 narrated the touching story after he came across a tweet by @Jollz complaining about Nigeria's failed justice system.
Quoting the tweet, @tobijulo91 narrated how a former colleague once briefed him of a very sad incident.
According his colleague, her cousin brother had gone out one night to buy suya somewhere close by.
She revealed her cousin brother never returned even after his family had searched for him everywhere that night and afterwards.
Four years later, after searching in vein, his family decided to declare him dead and buried him.
Meanwhile in the fifth year of his sudden disappearance, a certain church on outreach visited the prison where he was and he wrote his aunt's phone number, gave it to them and pleaded with them to call her and inform her that he's in prison.
After getting him out prison, the wrongly imprisoned ex convict revealed he got picked by some police men who raided their street on a massive arrest after a crime had been committed in the area that night.
The ex convict revealed he got transferred 5 times and also shared some terrible experiences he had as an inmate.
