A young man, pictured, has been caught by local authorities after he was alleged to have stabbed his own friend to death in a community in Enugu.
The said man, identified as Chigozie Ugwu has been arrested by the Enugu State Police Command over the murder of one Nwoye Arua.
Spokesman for the Command, SP Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the incident disclosed that the suspect stabbed his friend, Arua, 35, to death at Amegu Ejona Orba in Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State on Sunday, March 11.
Amaraizu said the suspect fled after allegedly stabbing his victim with a knife over a yet to be established reason. He was subsequently caught by police operatives following a massive manhunt.
The victim was rushed the victim to Nwosai Foundation Hospital where he was later confirmed dead by the doctor. The remains had been deposited an the hospital mortuary.
"The suspect is helping the operatives of the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Department (SCIID) in their full scale investigations.," said Amaraizu
