According to a report by DailyPost, the victims of the jungle justice were identified as Labister, a native of Tiv, while the second person could not be ascertained at the moment but hailed from Idoma speaking part of the state.
It was gathered that the suspects were caught with a stolen motorcycle on Thursday afternoon and were killed by angry community youths.
An eyewitness said that efforts by the community elders to rescue the young men and hand them over to the police were futile as the mob insisted on killing them so it could serve as a deterrent to others.
Several efforts to reach the Benue Police PRO failed as his phones rang endlessly and went unanswered.
