A woman's diabolic strategy to not paying the N7 million she owed her business partner has landed her in police custody in the Ashanti Region.
According to reports, Madam Joyce Antwi borrowed N7 million from her business partner to enable her expand her business - her deadline to return the loan was fixed for April 2017. Rather than pay back the loan, Madam Joyce made arrangements to assassinate the lender.
Police say Madam Joyce Antwi hired an assassin to kill her business partner Instead of paying back the owed sum, she hired a man she thought was an assassin for N365, 000 to kill the business partner.
Antwi paid an advance fee of N150,000 to the man and showed him the house of her business partner. With a promise to pay the balance as soon as the job was done. She then advised him to carry out the killing in the afternoon when her business partner's husband and children would not be at home.
The contracted "assassin" then reported Madam Antwi to the police and she was swiftly arrested. She is said to have admitted to the crime in her caution statement.
