An aspiring fashion designer identified as Lemou Ange Lauric Lebato has been stabbed to death after an argument at a student party descended into a brawl.

Sun UK gathered that Lebato died in hospital after suffering a stab wound during the violence in the early hours of Saturday morning. Police believes the youngster was killed at a Leicester city centre during a school party.

A spokesman said: "We know the victim was at a party at a block of flats in Albion Street moments before he was assaulted.

"While in the flat we believe he may have been involved in some sort of argument which spilled out into the street and resulted in him sustaining a fatal stab wound."
They added: "The party was attended by a number of students studying in the city."

The victim, known as Lauric, was from Hackney, London and had been at the event before he was found suffering a knife wound in the street. A friend told the Evening Standard: "We were talking about new designs for an idea he'd had for a clothing line.

"He was a great lad, funny and always had a smile on his face. I hope he is remembered as a genuinely good man and friend. He'll be missed."

Detectives have appealed for taxi drivers, delivery drivers, business owners and others who were in the area to come forward with information.

A police spokesman said: "Students, taxi drivers, delivery drivers, business owners opening and closing businesses, and revellers on a night out could all have information which will help the investigation.

"Small details may seem insignificant to you but may help officers."
