Reigning WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has emerged as the highest-paid fighter in the world in the last 12 months.
The Briton outshined Deontay Wilder in a battle that ended in the seventh round at the MGM Grand Arena earlier this year.
Fury handed the Bronze Bomber his first defeat in his category after their first fight was adjudged stalemate by the official.
This time, the Gypsy King ensured he ended the fight in the seventh round with his opponent bleeding through his ears.
However, The Mirror quoting Forbes report that Fury earned a whopping sum of £46 million from the fight a few months back as well as some sponsorship deals.
He was said to have made £40m from his fight purses with the rest of his earnings from sponsorship.
Fury currently ranks 11th on the list of the world's highest-earning sportspeople compiled by Forbes, five places above Conor McGregor and eight ahead of Joshua.
Though the trilogy clause in his fight with Wilder has been triggered, there are speculations that the American might step aside for the unification fight against Anthony Joshua.
But there are conditions which must be fulfiled before this can take place with the fighter of Nigerian descent also has a mandatory bout against Kubrat Pulev.
