Top European club plots big move for Nigerian star who was part of AFCON 2019 squad

Greek Super League giants Olympiacos are reportedly preparing for the signing of Super Eagles winger Henry Onyekuru who currently plays on loan for Galatasaray on loan from AS Monaco.

Last summer, Henry Onyekuru joined French giants Monaco from Premier League side Everton, but he failed to earn a regular playing time before the club loaned him out.

And after playing 13 games for Galatasaray since he joined them in January this year, the Nigeria striker has scored only one goal so far.

According to Turkish newspaper Milliyet, Olympiakos have started negotiations with Monaco for the possibility of them signing the Nigerian star.

Henry Onyekuru has also been impressive in the national team which is the Super Eagles and he is among the youngsters Gernot Rohr is planning with for the future.

The 22-year-old was among the Super Eagles stars that played at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt where Nigeria came third in the tournament.

Onyekuru tried his best to block Mahrez's free kick at the death against Algeria in the semifinal by lying down on the ground, but his effort could not save Super Eagles from conceding.

Super Eagles goalie Daniel Akpeyi was also blamed for that goal in which many were of the opinion that he should have saved it.
