Paris Saint Germain are reportedly planning to make Kylian Mbappe joint top earners with Neymar as they are set to offer him a new £600,000-a-week deal.

The Frenchman has been linked with a move away from the Parc Des Princes with Real Madrid and Liverpool looking like his new destination.

Reports claim the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner is hoping to join a club that can help him win the Champions League having failed to go beyond the Round of 16 in the last few seasons.

However, with his current contract set to expire in two years time, PSG are hoping they can convince him to stay by doubling his weekly wages.

At the moment, the 21-year-old earns £300,000-a-week wages but interests from other clubs are tempting him to leave France for a new challenge elsewhere.

SunSport quoting L'Equipe that the Parisians will rather allow him to leave for free in 2022 rather than sell him for less.

Meanwhile, with the current global transfer fee set to crumble due to coronavirus, a French politician claimed that Mbappe who joined PSG for £162million - could go for as little as £35m in the current climate.

And the Qatari billionaires who own the club feel they can maintain the status of the striker before the expiration of his deal.

Mbappe could become the fourth highest-paid player after Lionel Messi (£120m in 2019), Cristiano Ronaldo (£109m) and Neymar (£87m) if he accepts the new offer.

Apart from Mbappe, Los Blancos chiefs are also eyeing a move for Borussia Dortmund's goal-poacher Erling Haaland to create a third Galacticos era.

But that may not be achievable with the harsh impact of COVID-19 on economies of the world which includes the financial capacity of the clubs.
