Barcelona reveals the 2 stars they will use in swap deals for their targets this summer

Barcelona are reportedly planning to use their record signings Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele in swap deals for other players when the transfer window opens.

Both players have yet to impress at the Camp Nou since their mega-money move from Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund about three years ago.

Dembele has been out injured since the turn of the year while Coutinho is on loan at German League side Bayern Munich who are not planning to make his deal permanent.

According to SunSport, Barcelona are not willing to cough out any money in the summer for any player and they are hoping they can use the above-named players in swap deals for other stars.

And this is as a result of the economic crisis caused by the deadly coronavirus pandemic which has shut down all activities across the world.

The Catalans spent £267 million on both Coutinho and Dembele - with the Brazilian costing £142 million two years ago, while the World Cup winner was valued at £124.5m back then.

Reports from Stamford Bridge claim Chelsea are planning to make a move for the former Premier League star but the manager Frank Lampard is said to have turned his back on the deal.

He recently underwent ankle surgery and he's expected recovery in the next two weeks which could take him up to six weeks before returning to full training.

Arsenal were also monitoring the 27-year-old however, they seem to have backed down since he might have to take an extended holiday owing to the operation he underwent last weekend.

The Gunners showed interest in signing Dembele but his series of injuries posed a serious concern for the north London club.
