Premier League's best player names Davido, Wizkid as 2 of his favourites artists

Virgil van Dijk is no doubt the best defender in the world and probably the best in the world.

The Liverpool defender was named the Premier League Player for the 2018-19 season after the Reds surrendered the league title to Man City with the barest of margins.

But the Anfield giants are on course to win their first championship in over 30 years and the Dutchman has been a major player in Jurgen Klopp's side.

Last season's Champions League winner was asked about his favourite kind of music, his response brought Nigerian perspective into his lifestyle.

Van Dijk professed his love for the Nigerian afrobeat brand of music and named the two of the biggest stars as his favourite - Wizkid and Davido.

"I'm just a big fan of afrobeat, Nigerian afrobeat, especially Wizkid or Davido," he said on a live Instagram interview.
