Premier League star on the verge of breaking Neymar's world record fee if he joins 1 top club

Champions League finalists Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly slammed a £200 million price tag on star striker Harry Kane ahead of a proposed move away from the club this summer.

Spurs' chairman Daniel Levy was said to have been angry at the 26-year-old's outburst during coronavirus stay-at-home advice and has now decided to cash in on the player.

The north Londoners are facing COVID-19 heat over the payment of their non-playing staff members. They still have a £637 million stadium bill among other things to settle.

According to Daily Star, the 58-year-old was also said to have been furious with his striker after suggesting that the Premier League season should be cancelled if it doesn't end in June.

Meanwhile, The Mail on Sunday, claims Levy is considering allowing his top scorer to join rival club Manchester United provided they can cough out the price tag slammed on him.

The Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is yet to find a quality replacement for Romelu Lukaku who joined Inter Milan last summer.

It would be recalled that his efforts to sign youngster Erling Haaland in January failed and instead, he brought Nigerian forward Odion Ighalo on loan until midseason.

With the 30-year-old finding the back of the net four times in his first eight appearances, the Norwegian boss is now considering to hand the 30-year-old a permanent deal.

But his age might not see him stay at Old Trafford for long - hence, the push for Kane who has got quality experience in the EPL.

Though Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial have all been fielded in the central attacking role, none would guarantee the king of experience Spurs' star would bring.

Kane has been linked with a move to Old Trafford since the era of Jose Mourinho but it is left to be seen if the deal will pull through.

The 26-year-old has scored 181 goals for the north London club and established a reputation as one of world football's deadliest strikers.
