Man United top list of 5 clubs Ronaldo could join if COVID-19 forces him out of Juve (see list)

Cristiano Ronaldo could reportedly be offloaded by Juventus following the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic.

Ronaldo has active contract with Juve which will run until 2022 having joined them on a four-year deal from Real Madrid.

But according to SunSport citing Italian outlet Messaggero, the outbreak of COVID-19 could see the Serie A giants get the star forward off their cheque books.

It is believed the pandemic is set to have a huge effect on Juve's financial flows which could cripple their ability to pay wages.

And Ronaldo, who is on a reported £510,000-a-week could be sacrificed to keep the Italian club afloat.

But that would not mean the Portuguese forward will be short of potential suitors.

At 35, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has proved that age is just a number owing to his current spectacular form.

We take a look at five of the potential clubs Ronaldo could turn out for:

1. Manchester United

United fans still adore Ronaldo, nearly a decade after be dumped them for Real Madrid.

And with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looking to strengthen his attackline, there couldn't be a better option than Ronaldo who has been tried and tested.

2. Real Madrid

Having struggled to find a replacement for him since his departure in 2018, Madrid would definitely fancy re-signing Ronaldo.

Currently, Karim Benzema has been charged with the responsibility of leading the line but has often struggled in front of goal.

The arrival of Eden Hazard from Chelsea last summer has not helped much, with the Belgian yet to replicate his fine form at Santiago Bernabeu.

3. Paris Saint-Germain

PSG are facing the prospect of losing two of their most prolific forwards in Neymar and Edinson Cavani.

Neymar has been tipped to make a sensational return to La Liga club Barcelona, with Cavani turning down a new deal.

Such a scenario could force the French giants enter the market in search for a replacement - thereby drawing Ronaldo in the picture.

4. Inter Milan

Having hit 35, it is without doubt Ronaldo is nearing the homestretch years of his football career.

And where else to end it apart from the Major League Soccer?

5. Shanghai Shenhua

The Chinese club is perhaps a surprise inclusion in this list.

But the club is now in danger of losing Odion Ighalo to Manchester United, meaning they will have to find a replacement.

Should Ighalo complete a permanent move to Old Trafford, Shanghai will definitely have the cash to splash on Ronaldo.
