Liverpool tell top Man City star to leave Etihad and make world record move to Anfield

Premier League giants Liverpool are reportedly considering re-signing English winger Raheem Sterling five years after his controversial move to Manchester City from Anfield.

It was in serious controversy that made Raheem Sterling to leave Liverpool in 2015 despite being offered new contract by the Red chiefs.

But the England international turned the deal down at Liverpool and decided to move to Manchester City in a big transfer for the winger.

During that time according to BBC, Raheem Sterling stated that fight to win titles was the major reason that made him to leave the Anfield stadium for a move to the Etihad.

And since he moved to Manchester City from Liverpool, Raheem Sterling has won two Premier League titles, FA Cups and three Carabao Cup with the Citizens.

However, his aim of winning the Champions League has not been actualized as Pep Guardiola has failed to win Europe with his wards at the Etihad stadium.

According to the latest report by French outlet L'Equipe, Liverpool are thinking of re-signing Raheem Sterling, but their budget for next season will play a pivotal role in that.

"Even if Raheem is attached to Manchester City, he hasn't forgotten Liverpool, because that's where he became who he is as a man and as a player," a source close to Sterling explained.

Liverpool are still waiting for the decision that will be made for them to known if the League will continue or it will be cancelled due to coronavirus.

Klopp and his men are topping the standings and they were on the verge of winning the title before the League was suspended.
