Champions League: Lampard reveals why Chelsea lost 3-0 to Bayern Munich

Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard, has admitted that most of his players don't have experience of playing in the Champions League, following their 3-0 defeat to Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

Serge Gnabry scored twice, while Robert Lewandowski also got on the scoresheet, as the Bundesliga champions put up a show at Stamford Bridge.

The victory sealed Bayern's place in the last-8 of the Champions League.

Lampard told BT Sport: "They need to understand the levels that the Champions League is when they get to the knockout stage.

"A lot of the players there today either haven't played it, played maybe the Europa League, which is a big difference, or played it a few years ago [but] certainly not at Chelsea to a point where we got to a success of semi-final, final, win it kind of times.

Both teams meet for the second leg in Germany in three weeks.
