Bayern Munich duo Leon Goretzka and Jerome Boateng had a bust-up during one of their training sessions this week.

The 2014 World Cup-winning defender was pictured with his hand on the midfielder's face following a mistimed challenge.

Former Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski quickly intervened and pull the German defender back before it blew up beyond control.

Daily Mail reports that Goretzka had quarreled with Thomas Muller over a penalty decision minutes before the incident. But Boateng was quick to defend the veteran forward.

Reports claim the defender was furious with the tackle aimed at him and immediately retaliated by hitting Goretzka in the face with an open hand.

Meanwhile, Goal.com reveals that the pair have made up after their public row, while the club is yet to say anything about it.

Goretzka has however shared a picture of the two of them hugging and smiling - signifying that normalcy has been restored in the team.

Boateng also confirmed the action after sharing a post with the caption "Everything is fine between us, you can relax!" on his social media page.

Bayern, who have dominated the Bundesliga for years, have had one of their underperforming season in 2019/20 as a slow start saw them sack manager Niko Kovac.

The entry of Hans Flick seems to have restored some of the dominance of confidence associated with the Bavarians as they have accrued an impressive 10 wins from his 12 matches in charge.

Bayern are currently second on the log, one point behind Leipzig who have had an impressive campaign so far.
