We earlier reported that retired National Basketball Association (NBA) player, Kobe Bryant, has passed away in a helicopter crash that happened on Sunday, January 26, just before the Grammys. The retired basketball and his daughter, Gianna, passed away in the crash.
The helicopter crashed near Calabasas in Los Angeles, California. It was reported that nine people died in the fatal crash, including the pilot.
Bryant was heading to a youth basketball game at the Mamba Sports Academy with his 13-year-old daughter.
The NBA star, who was an advocate for young athletes opened the academy as a training center for young athletes a year ago.
Nigerian celebrities have taken to their social media platforms to mourn the legendary basketball player.
Celebrities like Falz, Toke Makinwa, Davido, Peter Okoye, Basketmouth, Mercy Aigbe, Mike Ezuruonye, and others took their Instagram page to pay their respect to the deceased father and daughter.
