Real Madrid superstar rejects big move to arsenal, signs a new deal at the Bernabeu

Karim Benzema has signed a new one year contract deal at the Bernabeu which will make him remain at the club until the end of 2021/22 League season.

Karim Benzema has been playing for Real Madrid for the past 10 years and has featured in close to 500 games scoring 238 goals for Los Blancos.

He was recently linked with a January 2020 move to Premier League side Arsenal, but as it stands now, the Gunners will have to look elsewhere for a striker.

Already this season, Karim Benzema has netted 16 goals in 23 games in all competitions and he has been consistent in front of goals for Real Madrid.

According to the report by Marca, Karim Benzema's superb relationship with Real Madrid boss Florentino Perez was key to him signing a new deal.

Benzema's career at Real Madrid has been a blessing for the Frenchman winning 17 trophies including two La Liga titles and four Champions League trophies.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are currently occupying second position on the Spanish La Liga standings with 37 points after 18 games played this season.
