Chelsea to splash $134m on former Man city star who is also wanted by Man United and Liverpool

Chelsea are reportedly planning to cough out a staggering £120 million to secure the services of Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho next month.

The Blues are hoping they can lure the England international to Stamford Bridge by paying the largest in the history of the winter transfer window according to Express Sport.

However, Frank Lampard will have to battle with Manchester United, who are also interested in the teenage sensation.

Sancho has scored nine goals and nine assists for Dortmund in the German League this campaign - reasons he is attracting attention from top coaches in Europe.

Although his contract expires in the summer of 2022, the right offer could see him leave the Bundesliga club in the next few days or even weeks.

The Bundesliga side signed the 19-year-old for just €7.84 million in 2017 and barely two years after, he has scored 26 goals and assisted 36 others in 79 matches across competitions.

Lampard has been handed a cheque of £150 million by Roman Abramovich to shop for players, but with interests in Sancho, most part of the money might be used to sign him.

The Blues boss is hoping to land the winger as a replacement for Eden Hazard who joined Real Madrid in the summer.

Lampard is understood to be very keen on the winger and rates him as the right man to fill in the void left by Eden Hazard's departure to Real Madrid in the summer.

Dortmund director of sport Michael Zorc insists Sancho won't be leaving the Signal Iduna Park under "any scenario" in January.

Zorc said: "We're continuing to plan with him. He's a fundamental player for us and I do not see any scenario where he leaves us.

"We have already had some situations with him to talk about, and there have been a lot of interviews in the last few weeks.

"We are in a good way; when he came off the bench in Barcelona and also in Berlin, he gave us a top performance."
