Unai Emery names 1 player who frustrated his work at Arsenal

Former Arsenal manager Unai Emery has taken a swipe at German football star Mesut Ozil claiming that the ex Real Madrid lack aggression and depends on other players around him.

Unai Emery was sacked at Arsenal for poor form of run this season in all competitions before the Gunners chiefs on Friday, December 21, named Mikel Arteta as the new boss.

Before Unai Emery was even fired at Arsenal, there were questions on why he failed to get the best out of Mesut Ozil at the Emirates stadium.

Emery has now given an explanation on what he went through on Mesut Ozil while he was the coach of Arsenal.

"There are games in which you see Mesut's brilliance, linking with the attack. But also I had to find players around him so he felt comfortable.

"And when you, little by little, have to build a team that is aggressive, intense, as well as structured for good pressure, we also had to find a space for Mesut.

"Ozil is a very important player if you can find a way to make it work with other players.

"He has talent that allows other players to be better, but when you want a bit more aggressive pressure he does not have the best qualities for that,'' Unai Emery told BBC Sport.
