Arsenal superstar vows to leave club if they hire Mikel Arteta as new manager

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is reportedly planning to quit Arsenal if the club goes ahead to appoint Mikel Arteta as their new manager.

The Gunners have been coachless since the sack of former boss Unai Emery with Freddie Ljungberg temporarily in charge of the team.

Reports in England, however, reveals that the Manchester City assistant captain has sent his goodbyes to staff and players of the Citizens.

With his appointment said to be confirmed on Friday as they battle Everton at the Goodison Park this weekend.

According to The Mirror Aubameyang is not a fan of the incoming boss and would force his way out of the club next month.

Although Real Madrid have enquired about the Gabon international sometime this season, nothing tangible has been done afterwards.

The Mirror reveals that Arteta will pen a three-and-a-half-year deal with the club and his first assignment would be to persuade the likes of Aubameyang, Lacazette and Xhaka to stay.

The former Borussia Dortmund star on his own part seems to have made up his mind and might use the January window to exit the club.

With 18 months left on his current deal, Arsenal may be forced to cash in on Aubameyang instead of allowing him go for free.
