Manchester City are reportedly leading rivals, Liverpool and Chelsea, for the signing of Nigerian youngster Ibrahim Said who could be heading to the Etihad in January 2020.

These three Premier League sides are said to have been impressed with Ibrahim Said's performances for the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria at the FIFA U17 World Cup in Brazil.

Ibrahim Said attracted global attention after scoring a hat-trick for Nigeria against Ecuador at the Under 17 World Cup in Brazil.

Although he is currently with Dabo Babes academy in Nigeria, a report on Daily Express claims he could be moving to the Premier League once the transfer window opens.

The report even added that the trio of Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea could even miss his signature as Porto and Sporting Lisbon are also making moves.

Manchester City are also said to be considering making a move for a top defender so as to bolster their squad next year.

Pep Guardiola's men are currently 14 points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool and the Spaniard is now worried about the title this season.
