Super Eagles star set to join Barcelona or Tottenham as his club president gives final verdict

Amid speculations linking him to Barcelona and other European powerhouses, Victor Osimhen may leave French league after Lille president Ebenezer Bajela hints at the striker's possible departure in the nearest future.

Osimhen sealed a transfer move to the French giants in the last summer from Belgian top side RSC Mouscron for a fee worth of €15 million.

The 20-year-old has since moved on to become a popular figure in Christophe Galtier's squad, scoring nine goals and recording two assists in sixteen league appearances.

The Super Eagles forward has earlier been linked with a move to top European top sides include Tottenham and Barcelona.

And with talks still surrounding his future with the French side, Lille president Ebenezer Bajela admitted Osimhen may be leave the club after spending one more season in France.

"The idea is to keep Osimhen one more season. A departure this winter is not on the agenda," Bajela said.

"There is already interest for sums of about this level. He is a player who is in his ascending curve and he is a young player, who has just arrived.

"It is not only that the door is closed for this winter, I would also like to keep it closed for this summer. The idea concerning it is to keep it one more season."

Osimhen missed a vital penalty against Montpelier -his first- but Lille cruised to a victory on Saturday thanks to Renato Sanchez's goal.
