Jose Mourinho's first home game as Tottenham manager ended in massive victory for the Premier League side after a remarkable performance that saw the host side put in an epic comeback over their resilient visitors.
The game almost ended in defeat after El Arabi and Semedo gave the Greek side an early 2-0 lead but Harry Kane's double, Dele Ali and Serge Aurier's fantastic goals were all needed as Spurs thrashed their visitors in the 6-goal thriller.
Mourinho's young-studded side exhibited loads of promises with another impressive yet heroic display that complemented their 3-2 victory over West Ham.
The Portuguese, with Tottenham going two nil down, made a decisive tactical change that saw Dier replaced by Christian Eriksen at the 29th minute. But another display of masterclass from the 53-year-old was how he rewarded a ball boy after the epic comeback.
Harry Kane's 50th minute strike was assisted by Lucas Moura but it was a particular ball boy who quickly threw the ball to the Brazilian who gave it to the team captain to balance the score-sheet to 2-2.
The beautiful display of quick tactical intelligence by the boy caught Mourinho's attention who later embraced him after the match.
The Spurs boss would later commend the boy in his post-match press conference. "It's not about me, it's about the team, the fans help, the ball boy help. The players are the most important thing," Mourinho said.
