EPL: Klopp sends message to Mourinho, reacts to Pochettino's sack

Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp has welcomed new Tottenham Hotspur manager, Jose Mourinho back to the English Premier League, EPL.

He also paid a special tribute to Mauricio Pochettino after he was sacked by Tottenham on Tuesday.

We reported that Mourinho replaced Pochettino as Tottenham manager on Wednesday after the Argentine was dismissed by the club on Tuesday night following Spurs' poor form this season.

"Welcome back Jose," Klopp said on Friday at his pre-match press conference ahead of Liverpool's Premier League clash against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

"Obviously it's nice to have him back, he was desperate [to return] you could see [during] the time he was not in.

"But on the other side Mauricio is not there anymore and that shows how quickly things change nowadays.

"That's how it is, I think it was only about five months ago we played each other in the Champions League final 'He's on holiday and I hope he can enjoy it, to be honest.

"He did a brilliant job at Tottenham nobody doubts that everybody knows he's an outstanding coach, great guy, left and right of the games, I really enjoy the games we played against each other.

"It was my first game in the Premier League against him so we have quite a history together, so everybody knows that pretty much all the jobs that are available and not available Mauricio will be in contention.

"It was a big one when I heard it first, I couldn't really believe it at that moment, but then a couple of hours later they already had a solution, and that's how it is.

"I really hope Mauricio can enjoy the few days, weeks, months, I don't know, off. It will not last long and then he'll he back. And Jose is highly motivated, obviously. That will be interesting as well."
